  • Hi Music Box Friends,

I know that some of you are already back to school and some of you are getting ready. I hope everything is going well for all! In my blog this week, I have some options for songs and recordings to use for "free play" time with the Orff instruments, perfect to start your year off on the right foot. These pentatonic songs give children the joyful opportunity to play without the structure and guidance of teacher instruction. Since the setup of the little glockenspiels, xylophones, and metallophones need to be done in the same pentatonic key of the recording, I have listed the keys so you can choose your favorite.

Check out the enthusiastic teachers from China acting out my Rhymes in the Rain from In All Kinds of Weather, Kids Make Music. Huge thanks to Eric Young for a fantastic job presenting my Music Rhapsody curriculum to nearly 600 teachers in three cities!

Just in case you do not have the recording for Rhymes in the Rain from In All Kinds of Weather, Kids Make Music to do free play on the little Lynn Kleiner glockenspiels or other Orff instruments, we have added this in Music Box Downloads under Recordings for FREE!

This week, only to Music Box Members, we have the fall and winter pack of lesson plans. These are fabulous to use for preschoolers, PK or K. There are 17 plans plus a fall and winter set of beautiful photographs to enhance the lessons. Download

Check out the other lesson plans for K-3 with optional SMARTBoard Visuals in music box.

    Happy Music Making,

    Lynn
